Non-urgent advice: Telephone
Our telephone system enables you to choose a call-back option.
Instead of waiting on hold to be served, you will have the option to request a call back. The call-back feature is an automated system that allows us to set a parameter number of callers for the queue.
Once that limit is reached you will be offered the call-back option. You will be offered to dial ‘1’ for the call-back option which will hold your position in the queue as if you were still on the phone.
The system will then ring you back when you have reached number one in the queue. That means that rather staying on hold, you can carry on with your day or rest if you are feeling unwell.
Note however, if you have a private or withheld number, you will not be offered the option as the system is unable to call you back.
