The NHS wold like patients to always think GP Practice First if they feel unwell. GP practices are open 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. If you need to be seen the same day (unplanned clinical need) requiring a same day primary care clinical response, you should always contact their GP Practice first or, NHS111 after 6pm and weekends/bank holidays. Does your GP know you look after someone who has an illness or is disabled? Being a Carer can often affect your own health. By letting your GP Practice know that you are caring for someone could help your GP offer you better support.
